Bulletin: Transition in Supplier Insurance Certificate Monitoring (Posted September 18, 2015)

As part of Stanford Procurement's ongoing efforts to manage risk and improve efficiency, we are in the process of transferring responsibilities for our supplier insurance certificate monitoring and collection to Ebix Inc.

Ebix has begun to take over the following duties on Stanford's behalf:

• Requesting suppliers' Certificate of Insurance
• Reviewing suppliers' insurance certificate to determine if the coverage shown meets the stated requirements
• Following up if documentation received does not meet the stated requirements
• Notifying Stanford of any lapse or deviation between suppliers' coverage shown on the certificate and the stated requirements

FYI, as part of this transition, Ebix is collecting an annual processing fee of $69 for all Stanford suppliers. Ebix already has contacted some Stanford suppliers about this transition, and as time goes on, will contact the rest.
