Peer Advisor Program

A Peer Advisor from each program is selected every year to serve as a mentor, tutor, and resource to undergraduates of the department. They are aware of the requirements of the department, as well as other university resources and hold scheduled office hours in the Gunn Foyer, RM 101 (lobby area)  of the McMurtry Building. They work with the undergraduate coordinator to plan events for their fellow peers. In addition to scheduling events and workshops that promote greater interaction amongst students of the department, the Peer Advisers also answer questions from prospective students.

Peer Advisors 2015-16:

EMMA COLLINS, Class of 2016

Peer Advisor, Art History

Hello!  My name is Emma Collins, and I am a senior at Stanford.  I am double majoring in art history and economics, and the combination has made for a very fun and interesting academic experience.  Outside of classes, I like to stay active, eat good food, visit museums, paint, and spend time with my friends.  Once I graduate, I'll be staying in the Bay Area to work at BlackRock, an investment manager.  Although I am working in finance, I have also held jobs at multiple museums, including the Cantor Arts Center, as well as at the online art startup Artsy.  Art will always be a huge passion and part of my life, and potentially a career that I reenter later in life!  So I am here to help with any questions about classes, internships, double majors, or just life at Stanford in general.  Please stop by my office hours or reach out by email anytime!

Office Hours: T 3:30-4:30, Gunn Foyer, RM 101 (lobby)
