The Ford Dorsey Program in International Policy Studies supports student internships with organizations that work on international policy issues.
The IPS office provides one-on-one advising and coaching on job search techniques, forwards student résumés to employers, and introduces students to Stanford alumni in their areas of interest.
Funding is available to IPS students for 10-week summer internships with international organizations, NGOs, and government agencies anywhere in the world. In 2015, IPS students spent their summers in China, Colombia, the Czech Republic, Ethiopia, Fiji, India, Indonesia, Kenya, Lebanon, and Uganda, as well as Chicago, New York, San Diego, the San Francisco Bay Area, and Washington, DC.
Students will be invited to apply to the IPS Summer Internship Stipend Program beginning in April. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis through the summer.
