Admission and Requirements for Students
Admission
The supervised clinical student program is arranged by the academic
coordinator of clinical education (ACCE) at your college or
university. To participate in the program, your school must be
affiliated with our center. Please check with your ACCE to determine
if we are affiliated.
At this time, we are not offering positions to foreign-trained
therapists who wish to complete their clinical hours.
Requirements for students
Students must comply with the institutional policies and procedures for:
- Immunizations and TB testing

Additional information
Because we are a tertiary care center, and work with clients with
complex medical problems, students must have a strong academic
background, be comfortable communicating with patients and staff, and
flexible. The site is recommended as a second or third affiliation.
Please let the Clinical Education Coordinator know if this is your
first affiliation.
Stanford Health Care does not discriminate against any students on
the basis of gender, race, creed, color, religion, ancestry, national
origin/age, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity,
citizenship, veteran status, or economic status. Students are required
to meet the physical requirements of the position for which they are assigned.
Volunteers and observers
Opportunities for volunteer work are available through our Adult
Volunteer Program.
