Great Teaching Showcase:
A Celebration of Teaching and Learning at Stanford
VPTL helps Stanford kick off the Year of Learning in 2015-16 with this event. All faculty, staff, students, and the Stanford community are invited.
Date: Friday, October 2, 2015, from 5-8 pm
Location: First floor of Lathrop Library
The evening begins with a cocktail reception with hors d’oeuvres in the courtyard and the Gallery Walk with posters and presentations to showcase creative, successful teaching ideas and instructors across all seven schools at Stanford (courses, assignments, projects). Instructors will be present to discuss their innovations.
From 5:30 to 6:30, relax in Bishop Auditorium and listen to Faces of Teaching: a series of rapid, TED-style talks by inspirational teachers with interesting personal stories to tell (current faculty, lecturers, graduate students).
