Federal student aid is an essential element in the nation’s economic growth and prosperity, enabling low and middle income students to attend college and current workers to retrain for new careers. Maintaining global competitiveness also requires that an increasing share of the workforce hold undergraduate or advanced college degrees. AAU strongly supports robust investment in student aid programs funded by the federal government to ensure that these essential elements continue.
