Freegal Music


Freegal Music is a downloadable music service for library cardholders.

Freegal offers you access to over 9 million songs and music videos, including Sony Music's catalog.  The collection is comprised of music from over 28,000 labels with music that originates in over 80 countries.

Features:

  • Simple to use with no special software to download and no digital rights management (DRM) restrictions
  • Standard music and video formats (MP3, MP4) compatible with most devices

  • Free mobile apps are available for Apple devices (iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch) and Android devices

How It Works:

  • 5 download credits per week per library card
         1 song = 1 credit
         1 video = 2 credits
  • Download credit counter resets every Monday at 12:01AM (Eastern time)
  • Search or Browse for music
  • Blue Play button lets you sample a 30-second clip
  • Listen through your media player on your computer or inside the app on your mobile device
  • Transfer to an iPod by dragging the MP3 to iTunes or transfer to other MP3 players through your media manager
  • Burn to disc using any standard software for burning CDs
  • If a download is interrupted, you can re-download up to 2 times within 2 weeks from the original download under "Recent Downloads."
