Federal TEACH Grant

(Unsubsidized Direct Stafford Loan)

A federal TEACH grant will be converted into an unsubsidized Direct Stafford loan if the recipient fails to meet all of the requirements in the TEACH Grant Agreement to Serve. Interest will be calculated retroactively based on the grant disbursement dates. For this reason, you may want to consider your TEACH grant to be a potential part of your total student loan debt.
