Emergencies and disasters can occur at any time and with little notice. Stanford community members with disabilities should prepare for emergencies now by developing a personal emergency evacuation plan. Likewise, supervisors, managers and emergency coordinators may have staff, faculty or students with disabilities or who need special assistance in their departments, areas or buildings. Prior to an emergency, supervisors, managers and emergency coordinators should take the time to consider those with special needs when developing an evacuation plan.
