Giddon Ticotsky has completed undergraduate studies at Tel Aviv University’s Departments of Hebrew Literature and French Literature (2004), and graduated from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem's Department of Hebrew Literature (2006). His doctoral dissertation, conducted at Tel Aviv University and approved in 2014, studies the work of Israeli poet Dahlia Ravikovitch (1936-2005), one of the most prominent figures in modern Hebrew literature and poetry. He won the Israeli Bahat Prize for the 2014 best original scholarly book manuscript in Hebrew for his forthcoming book about Ravikovitch's work.
Ticotsky authored two books in Hebrew: Light along the Edge of a Cloud: Introduction to Leah Goldberg’s Oeuvre (Tel Aviv: Hakibbutz Hameuchad-Sifriat Poalim, 2011) and The Little Prince: Seven Essays on ‘The Little Prince’ in light of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry’s Oeuvre (Tel Aviv: Hakibbutz Hameuchad, 1998). He also edited several books, such as Losses, a previously unpublished novel by Leah Goldberg (Tel Aviv: Sifriat Poalim, 2010), Dalia Ravikovitch: The Complete Poems (co-edited by Uzi Shavit, Tel Aviv: Hakibbutz Hameuchad, 2010) and Hanna Szenes: Lettersr, 1935–1944 (co-edited by Anna Szalai and and Eitan Szenes, Tel Aviv: Hakibbutz Hameuchad, 2014).
