International Security; and International History and Culture
Honors Cohort: 2016
Office Hours: Tuesdays from 9:00- 10:30AM and Wednesdays from 11:30AM- 1:00PM (no appointment needed) *** During the week of March 7th (week 10) the IR Peer Advising office hours will be cancelled for Wednesday only.

Rebecca Mehra is a senior majoring in International Relations, with specializations in International Security and International History and Culture. She is also pursuing IR Honors and is currently writing a thesis on India-Pakistan water relations. Although she grew up in Los Angeles, her family is very internationally-inclined, having worked in international governing bodies and sects of the United Nations. She hopes to continue on the tradition. Two summers ago she interned at the UN in Geneva, and worked on various projects and wrote speeches for the Director General. This past summer Rebecca worked for Ambassador Karl Eikenberry, the former U.S. Ambassador to Afghanistan, on his newly founded US-Asia Security Initiative, creating an elite speakers series and a new highly immersive class. Rebecca is also an All-American member of the varsity track and field and cross country teams at Stanford, and strikes the balance everyday of being a student athlete. She would love to talk with other athletes on how to make their major, classes, and research work with athletics. She speaks Spanish, Hindi, and is working on learning French, so any of those languages are fair game to speak with her!
