2015 Conference

The objective of the gathering is to bring together institutions and developers with shared needs, and assemble around a shared set of solutions and technical components.  With technology contributions from peer institutions, shared products for digital cultural heritage offer the critical building blocks for a complete suite of solutions -- from digitization workflow to digital asset management, from preservation to discovery and delivery.

Major topics at LDCX will be Archives and ArcLight, Geospatial data, Image data and topics in the Hydra space such as Fedora4, gems and shared data modeling.

The conference will take place on March 23rd to 25th, 2015 at Stanford University.  The main sessions will take place in the newly refurbished Lathrop Library, on the first floor in rooms 180 and 190 Lathrop, starting at 9am and continuing until 5pm.

The deadline for registration is Monday March 16th, however space is limited so please register as soon as possible.  The registration is being handled via EventBrite.

Getting to Stanford: San Francisco is the closest major airport (IATA: SFO), and there are multiple options for getting to Palo Alto from there. The easiest and most cost efficient is Super Shuttle, however BART/CalTrain is feasible with a change at Millbrae (get off at Palo Alto station).

Hotels: Near by hotels include Stanford Terrace Inn, the Westin Palo Alto, the Sheraton Palo Alto, and Best Western Plus Riviera.

Food: Breakfast snacks and lunches will be provided, and there are many options for dining on campus or near by. Details are in the Social page.
