*Stanford University uses Facility and Administrative costs (F&A) to recover certain expenses not covered by user fees.  The F&A is applied in addition to these posted rates, at the time of billing.  The F&A rate for a given external user is associated with the user’s iLab account during account setup.

For FY16 (Sept. 2015 – Aug. 2016), external for-profits and non-profits, as well as non-Stanford academics using sponsored funding, will be charged 58% F&A.  Non-Stanford domestic academics using their institution’s non-sponsored funding will be charged 8% F&A.
