Investing in Natural Capital »

Leaders of the Natural Capital Project (NatCap) and The Nature Conservancy will discuss how they are using the power of open-source software software to transform how communities and institutions value natural capital in decisions that improve outcomes for biodiversity and human wellbeing.

Mary Ruckelshaus, NatCap's managing Director, Rich Sharp, NatCap's lead software developer, and Heather Tallis, lead scientist for The Nature Conservancy, will be speaking.

Tickets are free to students with a valid Student ID.

In honor of Earth Day, Sustainable Stanford will host a campus community gathering on Monday, April 22, to experience and enjoy Stanford's culture of sustainability. The fair will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the lawn in the Science & Engineering Quad. It will feature games, activities and demonstrations from topics as varied as sustainable food to solar vehicles. Stanford Woods Institute will have a booth. Lunch will be served and raffle prizes will be award ed to participating attendees.
