How to Sign Up for OVAL

To register as an Admission Volunteer, first please review our Eligibility Requirements. Then please follow these steps:

Step 1:

Go to the Volunteer Login (offline for maintenance)Volunteer Login. You will be directed to a Stanford Alumni Association (SAA) login page.

Step 2:

On the SAA login page, enter your SAA username and password. If you do not have an SAA login, or have forgotten it, please follow the prompts on the SAA login page to create or recover it.

Step 3:

Once logged in, you will be directed automatically to the MyOVAL online volunteer system and guided through four registration steps:

• Eligibility Confirmation:Answer the questions to confirm your program eligibility. If you are not eligible at this time, please join us when your circumstances change.
• Profile Setup: Please confirm the contact information the University has on file for you. If changes are required, you will be routed out of the MyOVAL system to update your Stanford alumni record. Click Save to return to the MyOVAL registration page.
• Areas of Interest: Use the check boxes to select the volunteer activities that interest you. Hover over each activity to learn more about it. You are required to select at least one area of interest to create your MyOVAL profile; however all OVAL opportunities are optional and selecting an interest does not require you to participate in any activity.
• Chapter Selection: Following the prompts, enter the country, state and zip code (if applicable) to choose a chapter where you wish to participate in OVAL activities. Please note your OVAL chapter may be different than where you live if you so choose. You are required to choose a primary chapter for OVAL activities and may select an optional secondary chapter if you wish to participate in more than one location. Alumni in interview areas will also be prompted to indicate approximately how many interviews they ideally would like to conduct per admission cycle (please choose zero if you would like to volunteer, but not interview, in one of these areas). We hope alumni interviewers will conduct at least 3–5 interviews over the course of the admission cycle.

Step 4:

Upon completing your registration, you will be routed directly to your MyOVAL home page. Please explore the MyOVAL system, including reading the news items on the home page.
