Stanford University Online Accessibility Policy
Stanford University is committed to providing accessible websites and web-based applications to students, staff, faculty and participants in the University's programs and activities. To help achieve this goal, Stanford has adopted an Online Accessibility Policy. This policy applies to all units at Stanford that host and maintain websites, online communications and web-based applications. Under this policy, Stanford has developed the Stanford Online Accessibility Policy (SOAP), which provides guidance and resources to assist the Stanford community in their efforts. We encourage all University schools and departments to build and maintain websites that are accessible to all users by complying with the Worldwide Web Consortium (W3C) and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0 (WCAG 2.0).

Stanford Online Accessibility Program (SOAP)
To help Stanford achieve its goal of creating websites and web-based applications that are accessible to all, the Stanford Online Accessibility Program (SOAP) was developed to provide all individuals who work with Stanford websites and online content with resources, guidelines, services and tools. Services offered by SOAP include website accessibility reviews to determine any potential accessibility barriers, and presentations and answering any questions regarding web accessibility.
