Thank you for joining us at the Premedical Leadership Workshop on Saturday, April 16, 2011. Please evaluate your experience if you have not already done.

Next Steps for Existing Organizations:
Officer Transition

  • Begin transition meetings as soon as new officers are elected. Schedule a retreat or transition meeting with all exiting, entering, and returning officers.
  • Keep a good record of your organization’s activities, successes, and challenges this past year
  • Create shadowing opportunities for members who are interested in leadership positions.

Strategic Planning and Consulting

  • Conduct a critical analysis of your organization’s activities this past year. Conduct a SWOT analysis (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats) to inform your planning for the 2010/2011 academic year.
  • Schedule a meeting with your faculty/staff advisor to discuss your findings and overall plan for the upcoming year.
  • Schedule a meeting with partner organizations and individuals that have contributed to organization activities.
  • Discuss expectations for the upcoming year and share with your membership
  • Contact the Center of Excellence for an individual organization consultation
