Before downloading this contract document please note C16002- Guadalupe LRV Maintenance Shop Improvements is in two parts.
1. Request For The Pre-Qualification Of Bidders shall be submitted only by Prime Contractors.
2. The Contract Documents for this Contract C16002 is scheduled to be issued on May 3, 2016.
As of today April 8, 2016, I am issuing the Request for the Pre-Qualification of bidders that will be due by April 29, 2016.
Only the Pre-qualified Prime Contractors can bid the above contract to VTA.
Requires the California State Contractors License Board: Class A or B.
Scope of work: Project consists of modifications to the Maintenance Shop building located at VTA Guadalupe Light Rail Division. Major components of work include the following:
A. Install a VTA furnished, pre-engineered, shallow pit light rail vehicle lifting system;
B. Provide a retractable, motorized, industrial grade dust control curtain system;
Project also includes selective demolition, excavation and foundation work, as well as modifications to existing building systems to facilitate the lifting system and dust control curtain installation, including the overhead catenary system, electrical, track, and plumbing systems.
Engineer Estimate Range is $1.5-$2.5M.
The time of Completion shall be 315 Calendar Days.
DBE Goal: 2.84%
