Welcome to the Department of Music at Stanford University!
The Department of Music is rare among similar departments at other institutions in that we welcome everyone to participate fully in the life of the Department, regardless of whether you are a major or non-major, an undergraduate or graduate student. You are welcome to take part in what we offer... and over 1,200 students, faculty, staff, and local community members do every quarter!
Come: sing in a chorus, play an instrument, hear a live concert, use your computer or phone to play music, write a piece... join in with so much of our local and campus community in making and enjoying music. We welcome you.
