Here, you will find a repository of best practices related to faculty development and diversity currently in use by specific Departments at the School of Medicine. These best practices fall under four general areas:
- Encourage faculty to participate in “reverse recruiting” visits
- Regularly track your applicant and interview pool
- Create Department pipeline programs for students/trainees
- Focus on casting a wide net in your applicant pool
- Conduct Skype interviews in order to start a conversation with more potential
recruits – note that Skype interviews can completely change rank-orderings based on “paper”
