Vendor Management

What we do

The Vendor Management team manages many aspects of vendor relations for University IT. We also coordinate campus-wide collaborative purchases for IT products when there is the opportunity to create significant savings and benefits for the broader Stanford IT community.

Vendor Management develops and implements IT vendor management-related policies and best practices; assists engineering teams with technology market reviews, product and vendor research; negotiates contract pricing, business terms, and conditions; processes purchase requisitions and uploads approved invoices for payment; and manages ongoing vendor relationships.

Software Licensing is a part of Vendor Management. It provides centrally administered access to software primarily needed for teaching and research in support of the campus community.
