Leila Janah
Leila Janah
Case follows Leila Janah, a Harvard-educated social entrepreneur, on her mission to “give work” – provide jobs, rather than just money, clothes or food – to those in impoverished communities overseas and in the United States. Case profiles Janah’s beginning, the start of her second, for-profit enterprise, LXMI, and her ability to navigate personnel and employee issues as an effective, motivating leader.
Learning Objective
Understand how a social entrepreneur can grow a business; learn how to manage with candor and empathy, in order to be as effective and motivational a leader as possible.
