Whether preparing to return to public service or pivoting into civilian life, Stanford GSB equips its veteran students for success in their professional journeys.

Yellow Ribbon Program

Active duty U.S. military service members and U.S. military veterans may be eligible for an application fee waiver. Stanford GSB also participates in the Yellow Ribbon Program, and will match up to full tuition and mandatory fees for MBA students who are Yellow Ribbon eligible and opt to receive these benefits.

Getting Involved

There are more than 50 clubs and organizations that reflect the diversity of our student body and its interests. Students have the opportunity to lead identity groups as a way to share experiences, foster greater understanding, and build community across the school.

The Veterans Club serves as a resource for members to foster professional and personal development while encouraging leadership, both within Stanford GSB and in the greater business community.

Resources for Students

Office for Military-Affiliated Communities

The Stanford Office for Military-Affiliated Communities coordinates and supports educational opportunities for military-affiliated communities, as well as the administration and management of VA financial benefits.

Yellow Ribbon Program

Stanford GSB participates in the Post-9/11 Veterans Education Assistance Act of 2008, the Yellow Ribbon Program — a grant that is available to eligible military candidates. Starting with the 2020-2021 academic year, GSB will match up to full tuition and mandatory fees for MBA students who are Yellow Ribbon eligible and opt to receive these benefits. These students will not be eligible to receive additional need-based fellowships, but are eligible for student loans if needed. All other MBA veteran students who are not eligible for Yellow Ribbon or Vocational Rehabilitation are encouraged to apply for need-based fellowships to help supplement their VA benefits.
