Headed by the General Manager, the Midpen staff includes approximately 175 employees. Midpen has two field offices, one located at Rancho San Antonio Open Space Preserve and one off of Skyline Blvd at Skyline Ridge Open Space Preserve.

Staff at each field office provide patrol, maintenance, and visitor services. Rangers are primarily responsible for the day-to-day patrol and visitor contact on the preserves. All Rangers have law enforcement capability and are trained in fire suppression, defensive tactics, and emergency medical response. The field staff includes permanent and seasonal Open Space Technicians as well as Equipment Mechanic Operators, all of whom are responsible for building and maintaining the system of the trails, and for performing resource management activities within the preserves. Many of these staff are also trained in fire suppression and emergency medical response.

Our administrative office at 330 Distel Circle in Los Altos includes professionals in multiple departments including: Administrative Services, Visitor and Field Services, Project Planning and Delivery, and Public Affairs.
