Memorial Church

Interior of Memorial Church

Stanford Memorial Church, one of the earliest and most prominent interdenominational churches in the West, is both the architectural crown jewel of campus and a functional center serving the broadest spiritual needs of the university community.

Memorial Church is available for weddings, baptisms and memorial services for eligible Stanford staff, faculty, retirees and students of all faiths. Current or retired Stanford employees, as well as their children or grandchildren, can get married in this beautiful venue; please contact wedding-program@stanford.edu three to six months in advance for available dates and times.

Weekly docent-led tours are offered and visiting hours are Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.–5 p.m. and Sunday 11:30 a.m.–3 p.m. year round (except during services, commencement, university holidays and winter closure). Regular programs such as lectures, labyrinth walks and yoga are open to the public on weekdays and multifaith worship services are open to the public on Sunday mornings; during the holiday season, special services and performances are offered.
