The Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Access in a Learning Environment (IDEAL) initiative provides resources and community events to support Stanford's long range vision and commitment to an inclusive, equitable community.
The Staff Advisory Committee guides the strategic direction of IDEAL for staff, and proposes programs and initiatives to further diversity and inclusion at Stanford. Committee members represent schools and units across campus and partner with the IDEAL project team to prioritize efforts and advance issues and recommendations to Executive Leadership. To align strategic efforts across students, faculty and staff, the Staff Advisory Committee will also partner with the Student and Faculty Advisory Committees currently being formed.
Stanford staff from across campus attended Brave Spaces, a virtual forum to openly discuss the realities of inequality and anti-Black racism and how to confront them. The goal of these conversations was to broaden our understanding, help us become better allies, and discuss ways we can create a more inclusive and equitable culture. The IDEAL Staff Advisory Committee, working with Senior Staff, will prioritize goals and develop plans for staff.
