Training & Communications

The EH&S Training & Communications group plays a critical role as a main interface between Environmental Health & Safety and campus organizations needing consultative assistance and training from EH&S professionals. The group is responsible for the development and implementation of new course content and education materials in support of university operations related to elements of health and safety.

The Training & Communications Group is responsible for:

  • Coordinating training programs delivered by EH&S

  • Developing new safety training course materials in collaboration with subject matter experts

  • Evaluating the effectiveness of existing training offerings and developing strategies for improvement

  • Promoting EH&S services to the University community

  • Supporting individuals in the Stanford community who need to access EH&S training courses through the Stanford Training and Registration System (STARS)

  • Providing guidance for school and department health & safety training programs

  • Communicating University EH&S policies to staff, faculty and students

  • Coordinating the advertising of EH&S courses and maintaining training records in the Stanford Training and Registration System (STARS)
