Seeds of Change Partners

Who are Seeds of Change Partners?

Seeds of Change connects Stanford University undergraduate students with high school level groups focused on STEM (Science, Technology Engineering and Mathematics) and interested in advancing girls and young women in STEM. These high school groups serve as the initiative's partners, and they meet with Seeds of Change undergraduate Leaders regularly over the course of the academic year. During these meetings, the Leaders guide the partner groups through a series of animated videos developed by the Seeds of Change research team and facilitate group discussions, bringing the leadership concepts to life for the participants.

Why Be a Seeds of Change Partner?

As a Seeds of Change partner, participants will have the opportunity to:

  • Explore, learn about, and practice different aspects of leadership that are critical for success in STEM studies and careers;
  • Learn from Stanford undergraduate STEM students who, being just a few steps ahead of them, provide relatable and attainable mentoring relationships;
  • Break feelings of isolation by hearing about and sharing experiences within a small peer-group setting.
