Bio

Juliane Begenau is an Assistant Professor of Finance at the Stanford Graduate School of Business. Prior to that, she taught at Harvard Business School. She is also a Faculty Research Fellow at the National Bureau of Economic Research and a Research Affiliate at CEPR. Her research focus is the interplay of the real economy with financial markets and financial institutions. Begenau earned her Ph.D. in economics at Stanford University. Her undergraduate degree, also in economics, is from Humboldt University in Berlin.
