Sewer Service Fees - Sewer Service Fees (SSF) effective July 1, 2019. SSFs are established to cover the cost of the operation, maintenance, and capital improvements to the sanitary sewer system. The rate for each user category is based on water usage and discharge factor, with a billing cap for residential customers. A description of the various user categories can be found in the Berkeley Municipal Code Section 17.04.010. SSFs are billed on the EBMUD water bill. [more...]

Transportation Division - The Transportation Division of the Public Works Department oversees citywide transportation planning, traffic engineering, parking, bicycle and pedestrian planning, and alternative transportation programs. In partnership with neighborhood organizations, community groups, and local business associations, our office develops short and long range policy recommendations and directs program implementation to support a safe, efficient transportation environment in Berkeley.
