O'Donohue Family Stanford Educational Farm

The O'Donohue Family Stanford Educational Farm is Open

The O'Donohue Family Stanford Educational Farm has reopened gates, welcoming the public starting in the Summer of 2021 and currently remains open! Volunteer opportunities have resumed (with required registration) but are subject to cancelation; check our news page for up to date volunteering information.  General operating hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00am- 6:00pm and Saturdays from 9:00am-5:00pm.

While we are taking measures to enhance the safety of our visitor and employees, an inherent risk of exposure to and infection with COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present, and a visit to a Stanford Educational Farm may still pose a risk to your safety. By visiting The Stanford Educational Farm, you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure of COVID-19. Vaccinated individuals are not required to wear masks while at the farm unless distances cannot safely be managed.

We can't wait for you to join us once again!

Welcome to our educational farm

The educational farm is Stanford's home for hands-on learning in sustainable agriculture. The farm is a living laboratory offering academic and experiential learning opportunities for the Stanford community and beyond. The farm utilizes agroecological relationships and natural diversity to grow over 200 varieties of vegetables, flowers, herbs, field crops and fruit. Students come to the farm to test new ideas about the biological, social and environmental aspects of farming and gain experience in the practice of sustainable agriculture. On-farm research provides students hands-on learning opportunities.
