Extreme Heat Policy
This policy addresses issues related to extreme heat in our older, non-air conditioned spaces or in the case of a chilled water shut down that affects the air conditioning capabilities of our spaces.
In the case of "extreme heat" conditions (immediate or anticipated), we will notify groups scheduled in affected spaces as far in advance as possible. Educational Technology will work with them to offer a more comfortable alternative location or to reschedule their event if necessary.
Nationally, "extreme heat" is defined as temperatures that hover 10 degrees or more above the average high temperature for the region and lasts for several weeks.
