SUMCnet Subnets
Subnet Notation
The first four numbers in the subnet IP specify the network identity (e.g. 10.39.8.0). The first number after this is traditionally the default gateway for the network (e.g. 10.39.8.1). The number after the slash defines how many IP addresses are in the network. This is a number that is less than 32 that indicates how many bits of the IP address are identical for that network. The lower this number (i.e. the fewer bits that are identical) the more IP addresses there are available. Below is a chart identifying how many IP addresses are in a network of a given size:

Highest available address: 10.39.9.254 (10.39.9.255 is reserved as the broadcast address)
Subnet List
"Devices owned by" column specifies which type of machines go on that subnet (SoM, SHC or LPCH). "Network Provider" column specifies the entity who manages the network equipment and in turn specifies who the building owner is.
