The Stanford Center for Professional Development supports our active-duty service members and veterans by offering Stanford University courses and programs online and at Stanford.

Military benefits include:

  • Online graduate certificate courses at a reduced tuition rate
  • Master’s degrees part-time and at a distance
  • Professional certificate courses at Stanford at a reduced tuition rate

Stanford University is committed to providing Post-9/11 GI Bill (Chapter 33) benefits and is proud to participate in the Yellow Ribbon Program. We also accept Chapter 30- the Montgomery Bill and Chapter 31- Vocational rehabilitation form for graduate certificates. Graduate Certificates & Degrees

Stanford certifies enrollment for students in all degree programs and for students in one of 25 online graduate certificate programs.

Tuition: All branches of US Armed Forces are considered members of our Corporate Graduate Program. In addition to tuition benefits available through Chapter 33, students affiliated with the Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Navy, and Marine Corps may receive preferred member company pricing for online graduate courses as a part of a certificate program and may pursue a degree on a part-time basis through the Honors Cooperative Program. Application: As a first time student, you will need to complete an online application and submit original transcripts from all colleges and universities you have attended. In addition, you need to obtain a Certificate of Eligibility for benefits under the GI Bill. Send all transcripts and the certificate to:

Professional Courses & Certificates

Professional Certificates are not eligible for the Post-911 GI Bill. Students receiving the Chapter 31 (Vocational Rehabilitation for Disabled Veterans) benefit may use their benefits.

Tuition:  Professional course pricing varies depending on the length of the course, materials provided, and whether or not there is a lab or group project. For courses held at Stanford, a government discount rate may apply. For more detailed pricing, please visit the specific course and/or certificate page.
