Codes of Conduct
All Stanford postdocs must adhere to the University’s standards of academic integrity, honesty and behavior. The primary conduct codes are the University Code of Conduct and the Fundamental Standard.
The Fundamental Standard, adopted in 1906, states: "Students are expected to show both within and without the University such respect for order, morality, personal honor, and the rights of others as is demanded of good citizens. Failure to do this will be sufficient cause for removal from the University."
In October 2001, President Hennessy communicated the University Code of Conduct which “expresses our shared values and which reflects my commitment to integrating these core values into daily decisions and actions.”
Postdocs in the School of Medicine should be aware of by the School’s Respectful Workplace Statement.
