Stanford Latino Entrepreneurship Initiative (SLEI)

SLEI’s mission is to stimulate Latino Entrepreneurs to build high growth potential businesses through three interrelated programs.

Stanford Latino Entrepreneurship Research Database
Initially building a database including one million of the over four million Latino-owned companies in the U.S., each subsequent year we will resurvey the companies to create the longitudinal data needed for more rigorous analysis as well as to add additional companies. Our goal is to reach as close to 100% of U.S. Latino-owned companies as possible. This will be, by far, the largest and most comprehensive data set of its kind.

Stanford Latino Entrepreneur Development Program (LEDP)
The LEDP will be an intensive program focusing on developing Latino entrepreneurs capable of building high growth potential companies. It will provide knowledge and skill development, mentor relationships, access to capital resources, and linkages to student interns and fellow participants.

Entrepreneur Support Organizations Network (ESON)
The ESON is a nationwide database and support network of small business and entrepreneur support organizations. Its purpose is to harness existing resources and promote joint efforts to more effectively impact the success of U.S. Latino entrepreneurs.
