12. Global Activities

Stanford University conducts its global activities in various ways, including utilizing affiliated locally-domiciled entities, each of which is responsible for its own business operations and hires its own employees and/or contractors. Stanford University and its affiliated entities will follow sound business practices in adherence to local law and custom, financial compliance, safety and security, working conditions and other considerations that may be unique to global operations.

Where applicable and not in conflict with local laws, the university Administrative Guide applies to university projects and operations outside of the US. The guidelines outlined in this Global Activities Guide should be considered along with applicable university policy.
