Blue Jeans Audio and Video Conferencing

The Blue Jeans video recording service includes unlimited cloud based storage of your recorded video conferences. Recording of video conferences has special responsibilities for meeting moderators:

  • Some meeting participants may choose not to participate in meetings that are being recorded, so always inform them in advance if you plan to do so.
  • If you would like to start recording a video conference that is already in progress, please inform your participants of your intention, allowing them time to drop of from the meeting if they don’t want to be recorded.
  • Stanford Medicine faculty, staff and students are encouraged to download their recorded meetings and store them in their secure (safe for PHI and PII) Stanford Medicine Box account.

With Blue Jeans, full-time students and benefits-eligible faculty and staff can host an audio/video meeting and invite up to 100 participants. Attendees can join a conference by using a web browser; a mobile device; a Room System (H.323 & SIP); Microsoft Lync; phone and other software-based video clients. Blue Jeans is also a replacement for audio conferencing services such as WebEx, Premiere Global, Adobe Connect, etc.
