Visa Requirements
Residential Programs
Citizens from Visa Waiver Program countries must apply for authorization to travel to the United States using the Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA).
Other foreign citizens will need a nonimmigrant visa. For more information about visa and passport requirements, visit the U.S. Department of State.
The B-1/B-2 visa (for visits involving a combination of business and tourism) is the appropriate visa for entry into the United States for those participants who must have one.
When applying for a visa, you should include your Stanford program admission letter with your visa application. It is important to emphasize that the visit is for business purposes.
Online Programs
Our online programs, including Stanford LEAD Certificate: Corporate Innovation and Stanford Innovation and Entrepreneurship Certificate, do not require visas.
