AHFTC Application Process
Requirements of the AHFTC Fellowship include:
- Completion and passing of all three USMLE steps
- ABIM board certified or board eligible in core cardiology
- The accepted applicant must obtain a California medical license
- A valid ECFMG certificate for all foreign medical graduates
- Only J1 visas accepted
- Completion of previous cardiology fellowship training is required
Application
Candidates should begin the application process 8-20 months prior to their intended start date. We begin accepting applications in October, with interviews scheduled once monthly in January, February, and March of the year prior to the start of the fellowship. Please send the following application, together with a CV, photograph, personal statement, copy of green card or visa (if not a US citizen or permanent resident), and 3 letters of recommendation (one preferably from general cardiology fellowship program director) to:
