Stanford’s Heart Transplant Program is the longest continually active program performing heart transplants in the world. To-date, over 1,720 heart transplants have been performed at Stanford since 1968.

1-year graft survival: 93.3%
1-year patient survival: 92.7%
MCS patient survival:
1 year overall VAD survival (censored for transplant): 83%
1 year DT survival (censored for transplant): 81%
1 year BTT survival (censored for transplant): 90%
1 year survival of VAD recipients who have been transplanted: 93%
