About the Dean's Office
Led by Dean Persis S. Drell, the Stanford Engineering Dean’s Office partners with the school community, as well as the university, to set strategy for the school. The Dean’s Office also consists of several administrative units that provide central services for the school as a whole.
- Administration manages facilities, finance, human resources, information technology, research administration and Science & Engineering Quad services.
- External Relations manages fundraising, communications, alumni relations, stewardship and corporate relations. These pages provide guidance how to best communicate and strengthen the school's brand in the language, visuals and logo materials you use.
- Faculty and Academic Affairs manages faculty appointments, reappointments, promotions, searches and other academic matters.
- Student Affairs manages student data, graduate student financial aid and other student administrative matters.
SOE-Future
A task force of mid-career faculty drawn from all units of the school, SoE staff and students, and representatives from across Stanford will seek insights from within the school and the university to help shape a vision for opportunities for the School of Engineering in the coming decades.
