Teen Health Van

This community service provides primary and preventive care to homeless and uninsured teens aged 12-21 at high schools and teen homeless shelters.

Ravenswood Family Health Center

LPCH and the Division of General Pediatrics have partnered with the medically underserved community of East Palo Alto to develop a federally qualified health center providing culturally sensitive medical services to the community.

LPCH-Ravenswood Asthma Project

The Division of General Pediatrics has joined forces with the Ravenswood School District to address childhood asthma for the 5,000 children in the Ravenswood School District Ravenswood school district serving East Palo Alto and East Menlo Park .

Children Health Initiative

The Children's Health Initiative ensures that all children ages 0 through 18 in San Mateo and Santa Clara. Counties have access to comprehensive health insurance coverage, including medical, dental and vision care. Stanford faculty and staff assist with a number of outreach and oversight activities related to the initiative.

Center for Healthy Weight

The childhood obesity epidemic is one of the greatest threats to America 's health for at least the next several generations. Before the end of this decade, more than 20% of all children in the United States will be overweight and at risk for serious future health problems. As an interdisciplinary, cross-departmental effort, the Center for Healthy Weight tackles childhood obesity through advances in patient care, state-of-the-art research and the development of successful community programs such as a youth soccer league in East Palo Alto.

Family Advocacy Program (FAP)

The Family Advocacy Program (FAP) is a joint effort between the Legal Aid Society of San Mateo County, department faculty and LPCH staff to provide free legal services for a wide range of issues impacting the health of children in San Mateo and Santa Clara Counties. The program serves low-income families whose children are receiving medical care at the Lucile Packard Children's Hospital and Clinics, including the Pediatric Health Van in Redwood City and East Palo Alto, the Stanford University Emergency Department or the Ravenswood Family Health Center.
