Grants.gov

Grants.gov is your source to FIND and APPLY for federal grants and serves as a central storehouse for information on over 1,000 grant programs and access to approximately $400 billion in annual awards, including American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) funding.

Research Management Group (RMG) Funding Calendar

The School of Medicine's RMG site lists upcoming funding opportunities for external sponsored projects that require an internal selection process because of limits placed by sponsors on the number of applications that can be submitted. American Lung Association (ALA)

Start on the ALA Awards and Grants page see current research and link to their grant opprotunities, application process and eligibilty requirements. Their application cycle typically opens each May.

American Heart Association (AHA)

AHA supports the development of beginning investigators and offering innovative funding mechanisms to stimulate research in promising areas of cardiovascular science.

March of Dimes

Founded in 1938 by Franklin D. Roosevelt, the March of Dimes funds several types of research programs aimed at preventing birth defects and infant mortality, including basic research into life processes, such as genetics and development; clinical research applied to prevention and treatment of specific birth defects and prematurity; the study of environmental hazards; and research in social and behavioral sciences.

Thrasher Research Fund

The Thrasher Fund provides support for pediatric medical research, with an emphasis on projects that have the potential to translate into clinically meaningful results within a few years.
