Pediatric Infectious Diseases Elective
The Pediatric Infectious Diseases Division offers an elective to both residents and medical students which focuses on the diagnosis and managment of children with complicated infections. The majority of time is spent on the inpatient consultation service at Lucile Packard Children's Hospital as well as in the Infectious Disease Clinic where they will assist in outpatient referrals and the managment of children with HIV infection.
LPCH residents should contact the Chief Residents for more information regarding schduling an elective. Residents from other institutions should contact the Pediatric ID coordinator, Valerie Berland, for information regarding availability and the application process.
