There is also a range of academic employment opportunities available at UC Berkeley. UCB Graduate Student Employment

Stanford Financial Aid

Students can only receive Federal financial aid at one academic institution per year, excluding summers.  This means that Dual Degree students receiving Federal aid at UC Berkeley are ineligible for Federal financial aid through Stanford during the school year, but are eligible for aid during the summers before and after.

Students who will need Stanford financial aid during the summer after attending UCB must submit a financial aid application (including the FAFSA) in the spring prior to taking leave from Stanford. For details, please visit the Financial Aid Program page.

Med Scholars

Dual Degree students may apply for funding for their research projects from the Stanford School of Medicine's Medical Scholars Research Program. However, funding can be granted only during quarters when the student is enrolled at Stanford (preceding and following enrollment at UCB, or with simultaneous enrollment at both institutions).  While not guaranteed, the likelihood that proposals will be funded will be greatly enhanced by early, clear, and consistent communication with a Stanford faculty advisor.
