Allison Dods | Class Year: 2016 | Concentration: Natural Language |
|
About:
Hi everyone! :) I'm Allison, a senior in the Natural Language concentration. My primary interests are in psycholinguistics, cognitive science, natural language processing, and education. I've spent summers in both psychology and linguistics labs on- and off-campus conducting research and programming. Majoring in SymSys has absolutely been one of the best decisions I've made here and I'm excited to talk about it with you all!

Aran Nayebi | Class Year: 2015 | Concentration: Applied Logic |
|
About:
I'm Aran and I'm currently a coterminal master's student in Computer Science, specializing in Artificial Intelligence. Previously, when I was an undergraduate, I was a Symbolic Systems major in the Applied Logic track (as well as a Math major). I've had experience mainly with doing computer science and logic research on campus. Symbolic Systems appealed to me because I wanted an interdisciplinary academic path. Definitely feel free to stop by and talk to me about classes or anything else!

Cristian Cibils-Bernardes | Class Year: 2016 | Concentration: Artificial Intelligence |
|
About:
Hi everyone! I'm from Paraguay, in the heart of South America. I honestly believe technology has the power to solve many, if not all, of the world's greatest problems to date, and I study Symbolic Systems at Stanford to help tackle them. I am in love with life and development, and I am fascinated by the giant leaps humanity can take by embracing information and computational technologies. I'm very excited to be an AF this year, and to hopefully engage in awesome conversations about all things Symsys with you!

Todor Markov | Class Year: 2017 | Concentration: Artificial Intelligence |
|
About:
I am currently a junior concentrating in Artificial Intelligence with a minor in Mathematics. My main interests are in math / statistics, AI, and algorithmic trading; I've done research in logic and robotics labs here at Stanford, as well as software engineering for a biosensing wearables startup. Outside of academics, I am interested in climbing, moral philosophy, history, and effective altruism. I also like to experiment with different ways to increase my productivity. I look forward to meeting you all and helping you out on your SymSys journey!
