Information on the election and membership of the bodies of the Convention and the Kyoto Protocol
 
In addition to the permanent subsidiary bodies established by Articles 9 and 10 of the Convention, the COP and the CMP have established, in accordance with Article 7, paragraph 2(i), of the UNFCCC and Article 13, paragraph 2(h), of the Kyoto Protocol, additional bodies to support the implementation of the Convention and the Kyoto Protocol.

Candidates to these bodies are nominated by the respective regional group or constituency, and are elected/appointed by the COP, CMP or subsidiary body in accordance with the relevant decisions.
