The Code Enforcement Section of the Department of Planning and Community Environment is responsible for enforcement of property maintenance, zoning, and building codes throughout Palo Alto. Many departments throughout the City are also responsible for enforcing City codes. Please call 911 for immediate emergencies. PaloAlto311 In addition to the services provide by the Department's code enforcement staff, the City had deployed a mobile application to help residents, business owners and visitors report possible code violations, nuisances, and city infrastructure issues directly to the appropriate City staff. PaloAlto311 is a tool to improve communication and response times in order to quickly resolve issues identified by the community.
