Join the effort! Redwood City has a new “Brown is the New Green” water conservation campaign!*
Redwood City plans to meet the state mandated reduction by asking our customers to join the effort and reduce the amount of water they put on their lawns – a non-essential use of water! Show your commitment to water conservation by sharing photos of your brown lawn to Twitter. Tweet a photo of your brown lawn to @RedwoodCity to receive a free “Brown is the New Green” lawn sign! With everyone’s help we can prolong our existing water supplies and weather California’s drought.
How to participate:
- Tweet photo of your brown lawn to @RedwoodCity
- Redwood City will contact you via Twitter about how to receive your lawn sign (pick-up at 1400 Broadway, or get it dropped off by emailing your service address to (conservation@redwoodcity.org)
- Proudly display your new lawn sign and encourage others to save water!
*This campaign is only available to Redwood City residents
